The first change I'm going to make is to make it a single photoblog, so I'll post color or black and white as I choose, but I won't be posting two photos (one of each) every time I post. It's too much work and it doesn't always work for the subject matter.
Another change I'm going to make is to add photo albums, so that I can upload photos that I don't necessarily want to feature one day at a time. (I'll probably keep my Flickr account too, but allow the Pro account to expire. Actually, I'm really tempted to join SmugMug, but I'm still thinking about it.) So there will be one main photoblog, and photo albums as needed whenever I have a slew of photos I want to put up all at once.
Of course, I haven't even done the domain transfer or downloaded the new blogging software (I'm thinking of switching to Pixelpost and using Gallery for the photo albums), so these are still just ideas. In the meantime, keep checking here for new photos. There's a Philly photoblogger meetup in the works, so I should have photos from that in a couple of weeks.

But then these guys showed me that they were just boosting their ISO and under exposing as much as necessary, and it reminded me that I don't always have to shoot noise free stock-clean photography all the time. So I shot at ISO 1600 and under exposed and when I stopped worrying about noise, I had a lot of fun.
See also this one.

There are several reasons, incuding being busy, but part of the reason is because I'm working on a new laptop and I'm just not comfortable with the screen yet. It's a glossy screen, which I find to make things look strangely shiny and artificial. I just don't know what to think of my photos - I feel somehow removed from them, like they've been shellacked or something. And I'm not yet convinced that the color is right, even though I've actually calibrated this monitor (using Spyder2Express), and the colors were much better and more natural than they were before they were calibrated, but ... I'm just not sure about it. Then again, my previous laptop monitor was not calibrated so maybe I'm just getting used to that difference. So if you notice anything weird about the colors in my photos, please feel free to say so!!
Anyway, so that's one reason I haven't been posting much here. Another reason is that I want to switch my photoblogs (White Light and Shadows) to a new domain and I might collapse those two photoblogs into just one which means that I wouldn't be able to just migrate everything over to the new blog and so if I'm starting over, is there any point in posting here? Well, probably there is, because I do like doing it. :)
(I am thinking of switching to WordPress, though that would mean recoding my whole site and I'm not sure that's worth it. But I'm also thinking of setting up a Gallery site, and I think it might ultimately be better to try to coordinate it with a WordPress blog and not a Movable Type one. If anyone has any experience with this or thoughts about it, please feel free to share!)

I had a small cup of two flavors - Mexican Chocolate and Rosemary Honey Goat's Milk. It might sound like a strange mix, but they perfectly complemented each other, and I even note on their website that these two flavors can be bought online along with a few other Lancaster Mint Stracciatella, Lime Cilantro, Saigon Cinnamon, and Zenzero con Sesamo in a $60 set of pints. I could happily eat all of those!
Anyway, it was raining, so we didn't sit outside to eat, but I liked these orange chairs that they set up anyway on the sidewalk.
