Just Before SpringApril 03, 2007

Esplanade

EXIF:     Aperture Priority, Pattern Metering, EV +1, 1/40 sec, F/8.0, ISO-100, 18 mm (28 mm equivalent), polarizer filter
Camera/Lens:     Canon EOS 350D Digital Rebel XT, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Location:     Esplanade, Boston, MA
Notes:     I was in Boston this past weekend for a conference, and just before I left on Sunday I had about an hour to wander down by the Charles River. This was taken on the Esplanade, which I think must be incredibly pretty in the spring when the trees blossom. On the day I was there it was nice and people were out running, reading, biking, etc., but it was easy to find spots that weren't too crowded.

awesome shot. i love the white birch in the background jutting into the scene and that one tree bending impossibly at left. the polarizer adding a little deep blue is nice too.

Thanks Albert! I'm so glad you like this. I was really happy with this one because it was exactly what I was going for, but then I still wasn't sure what other people would think of it.

Thanks for commenting.

The two big trees seem to be doing a dance or maybe they are framing the scene to make sure you notice the delicate white trees in the middle distance.
