Notes:     I'm back! You might be wondering where I went...? Well, I didn't really go anywhere, but my photo posting slowed while I was working on finishing up my dissertation and eventually turned into an unannounced hiatus. Now that I'm just finishing it up, I can no longer resist the lure of photoblogging. As part of getting back to these blogs, I've updated my templates (please let me know what you think, especially if you find anything particularly problematic, e.g., is the font size ok?), I'm currently updating the categories (at the moment, archives are only currently available by date), and I've been working on updating my links to other photoblogs and resources (as you can see, it's not quite finished and could use a little more organization).

So I'll begin by posting these two photos from a recent trip to Florida to visit my husband's family (see the photo posted to my black and white photoblog too) of my sister-in-law's dog, Rylee. I am really not much of a dog person and sometimes don't quite know what to do around them, but Rylee is such a sweetheart she almost makes me want to get a dog.

For the next couple of weeks I will probably be posting photos from the Florida trip. No, I am not still on vacation (!), but while I was there, I took a lot of pictures so it's going to last me for a while.

Welcome back!

I don't think you should get a dog. I don't think Tako and Koji would appreciate it very much :).

Nice redesign! I'd prefer the text to be a bit bigger, but it's still readable. A link to the home page on the header image ("Luminous Lens White Light...") might be nice.
And happy new year!

Yeah, Ianqui, I am sure you're right. Don't worry, I am unlikely to get a dog anytime in the near future. :)

Thanks for the feedback Andreas! I need to check a couple other monitors to see what the font looks like on these screens. I might make it one size bigger...

I also agree with you about the header image linking back to the main page, and I'm working on it. For some reason I can't get it to work at the moment!
