Thanks Brad. I have actually been thinking the same thing myself the more I step back from this photo. I liked the warmth of the sunlight and was trying to avoid harsh shadows that I thought might be distracting, but I do think there's a middle ground and that this photo would be more powerful with a slight bit more contrast.
