I think you got the best backlighting (or sidelighting?) here ever! The entire bed of tulips looks like it's glowing! I took a ton of backlit tulip photos lately, and I don't think any of them came out this dramatic. Do you remember what time of day it was and what angle the sun was at exactly?

Well, I really can't tell you the exact angle of the sun, but only because I have no idea how to judge that! It was around 3 or 3:30 in the afternoon and the sun was somewhat low (but still above the buildings) and to the right of where I was shooting. The other tulip photo I posted recently was taken from a similar place, but I was turned more to the right and so the sunlight really was coming from more from behind than from the side.

It was really interesting to walk around the bed of tulips and see that on the side where the sun was hitting them, they were certainly well lit, but not translucent and really not as pretty looking. It was only on this side of the bed of tulips that they really glowed.
