White Light: White Tulips

Notes:		The 50/1.4 lens is incredible. My walk around Chinatown in San Francisco on a grey rainy day simply did not give it a chance to show off what it can do. When I opened this picture in my RAW editor, I was simply blown away by the beauty that this lens captured. Or maybe it is the combination of the Digital Rebel with this fine lens, but the quality of the image is just so lovely. I know I'm a sucker for shallow depth of field and that's partly why I'm enjoying using this camera so much, but I just have to gush about this lens in particular. It's just fabulous. (Actually, I gave this lens back to Chiaroscuro on the day I took this picture because I feared that if I kept it I would run away with both the lens and her camera.) By the way, that funny dot up over the flowers in front of the iron gate in the background? That's a fly. Check it out. I think I might be done posting photos from the California trip for now. Back to Baltimore! (Or in the case of this photo, DC.)
