Location:     Iwatayama Monkey Park, Arashiyama, Japan
Camera:     Canon PowerShot Pro1
EXIF:     1/250 sec, F/4.0, 51 mm
Notes:     Not only is Arashiyama this beautiful in the fall, but they have a really cool monkey park at the top of a hill. As you climb up, you catch glimpses of monkeys here and there until you reach the top and they are all around you. It was very, very cool.

The day we were there, the Canadian Discovery Channel was filming this documentary. We chatted with this guy who lives in Arashiyama for a few months every year studying the evolution and mechanistic basis of female homosexual behaviour in the Japanese macaques. Interesting stuff...

Beautiful shot with an interesting story behind it. I love the zoom.
