Imperial ReflectionDecember 05, 2005

Location:     Seiryu-en, Kyoto Imperial Palace Gardens, Kyoto, Japan
Camera:     Canon PowerShot Pro1
EXIF:     1/60 sec, f/3.5, 28 mm
Notes:     You actually need to get permission to visit the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and foreigners are given preference over Japanese tourists. For a tour, you have to show up early, submit an application form and show a valid passport. Fortunately, we had no trouble getting in the day we showed up.

(I have no idea why, but this image shows up with varying degrees of saturation depending on the application I view it in. I have no idea what I did to this one, but I am thoroughly confused by the various color profiles I can work with and assign in Photoshop. So if this looks duller to you than you would have expected, well it's probably because I messed something up.)

This shot is really bright and vibrant for me. I'm on Mac w/ Safari, and it usually does a pretty good job with any color profile you throw at it. Beautiful image.
