Whether you were aiming for it or not, you have taken an excellent photo here. The details, the depth of focus and the colors are right on. Surely you asked this bee to hold still for this photo. Well done. How close were you when you took this shot? Posted by: Sean McKendall at October 27, 2005 10:55 AM
Thanks Sean. I was very close to the bee when I took this shot, as close as it looks. :) Fortunately, the bee was too into the flower to care about the lens in his face! Posted by: luminouslens at October 27, 2005 10:31 PM
Great shot. You can actually see the bee in action. Posted by: Wanda at October 27, 2005 10:37 PM
I also think you are a good insect photographer! I'm generally really scared of bees, but your shot makes this bee look like a fascinating magical creature (with beautiful wings) out on a delicate errand. Posted by: jcm at October 28, 2005 09:57 AM
Great macro with beautiful and natural colors. You do excellent photography, I have your site put to my favorites at photoblogs. Posted by: Angela at November 7, 2005 06:50 AM
Marvellous bokeh. The colour and composition of this are spot on. Nicely done! Posted by: pfong at November 9, 2005 05:29 AM
bzzz, love it! Posted by: Shane Montgomery at November 10, 2005 12:27 AM
Good macro shot. Composition is sound and the out of focus background, which can often make or break this sort of shot, is good. Posted by: Simon C at November 10, 2005 06:56 PM
