Here's what she says about these two photos, both of the High Line (the color one is on this page, and the black and white one is over on the b&w photoblog):
"This weekend is Open House New York, where NYers get to go inside buildings that are normally not open to the public. We went to see a presentation about the High Line. The High Line is an old elevated CSX railway that is going to be turned into a public open space (it's private property now, and it's trespassing to go up there). For some reason, we've become obsessed with this structure, and have been to various exhibits about it around the city. The OHNY presentation today was in a gallery that overlooks the actual High Line, which has been overgrown with native grasses and trees. It was a totally cool thing to see."
I've told her this before, but I think she has a really great eye for composition.
