ChocolateJune 23, 2005

Location:     Baltimore, MD
Camera:     Canon PowerShot Pro1
EXIF:     1 sec, F/8, 13 mm, Super Macro
Notes:     These chocolates were a gift from my husband's brother and his wife. They're probably the best chocolates I've ever had. They're also the prettiest, and no one was surprised when I refused to let anyone touch them before I could take a few photos of them! I got a little good-natured ribbing about setting them up on the table and obscuring the messy kitchen background by propping up some white paper behind them. (Though, in this photo, you can't see the background anyway.) I also brought out my tripod so I could set the camera on a timer, a little trick I learned from ViSuaLLy MiNDeD that allows you to take photos with slower shutter speeds without having to actually hold the camera in your hands while the shutter is open. (Once I started using this method, my macro photos came out much sharper!)

Anyway, there are still several chocolates in the box, as we have been rationing ourselves to a single piece a day, shared between us! If you had tasted this chocolate yourself, you'd understand why this is necessary.

Great colors and textures. I very like the shape.
