CrocusMarch 19, 2005

Location:     Baltimore, MD
Camera:     Fujifilm FinePix S602Z Pro
EXIF:     1/320 sec, F/2.8, 7.8 mm
Notes:     This one is by yours truly. My PowerShot Pro1 is back on its way to Canon for its second round of repairs, and my laptop is in the process of being reformatted in the other room right now. In the meantime, I continue to use a borrowed laptop and a borrowed camera and beg my friends for photos of theirs that I can post.

But, I couldn't resist posting this one I took of a crocus in my front lawn last weekend.

I'll post a few more photos from my guest photobloggers at the beginning of next week, perhaps interspersing them with a few more of my own. And then, hopefully I'll have the laptop back in working order and can get more of a workflow going.

This is a very nice combination of colors, with that pastel light purple and the deep orange inside.

I can't help being reminded of new life by this. Crocuses always make me spring-sick.

Great Macro ... I love the DOF and the orange :)

In keeping with the "new life" theme, I like how it also looks kind of like an egg with a peep-hole into the top. Also represents a new life.

The thought that went into the photograph is amazing. You really mixed the inner and outer world of the flower.

Oh, this is so pretty and sweet! You have produced an image that shows just how delicate the budding process is.

This is a great shot, nice DOF and bokeh. The colors are lovely too, gives you a sense of hope that spring IS on it's way... definitely needed here in Edmonton since it snowed about half a foot on the first official day of spring x_X

really beautiful framing, colour and oh wow ... soooo spring, sigh. As Chris said, its all snow, snow and more snow here in Edmonton, sigh.

woohoo
fantastic colors, and the tips are nicely crisp and textured.
The aperture even looks like a lens diaphragm :) (ahem)
