I'm very sorry for the delay in posting photos recently. My dissertation has kept me really busy lately and I seem to have run out of Gates photos to post! Unfortunately, my camera is still not working properly and has to be sent back to Canon for repairs.

And now on top of that, my laptop is also on sick leave. It won't even start up anymore and my main concern for the time being is retrieving all the files on it. I've backed up some stuff (I managed to move the past semester's worth of files onto a server at school just before the computer gave its last gasp and refused to start again), but I'm sure there are tons of older files that I want and haven't remembered to back up. Plus, I haven't done a back up of photos since January.

I'm waiting until Monday when I hope to get some help at school, but part of me just wants to reinstall the operating system now and see whether that works or see whether there's actually a bigger problem, like a dead hard drive. However, I know that it's worth being patient. It's only a couple more days.

So instead of my own photos, today I leave you with a selection of photos i came across today while browsing on another computer. (I still have to get my photo fix!)

And now I'm off to take some photos with the camera I borrowed from school yesterday when I realized it would still be quite some time before my own camera was in working order. At least I am fortunate enough to have all these borrowed resources around me!
