Tiny SnowmanFebruary 18, 2007

Snowman

EXIF:     Aperture Priority, Pattern Metering, EV 0, 1/100 sec, F/8.0, ISO-100, 200 mm (320 mm equivalent)
Camera/Lens:     Canon EOS 350D Digital Rebel XT, Sigma 55-200mm f/4-5.6
Location:     Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA
Notes:     Here is a closer look at one of the tiny snowmen from this picture. This is the only one that had arms, and except for another that had a tiny carrot nose, they were unadorned. What is it about adding little sticks that imbues this little sculpture with so much personality?

I love the closeup! I wanted to do something like that, but then I thought viewers should have perspective on the whole picture. Of course, you can do that since you have 2 blogs, and people can see the color version of the whole tree.

This is good because you didn't wash out the detail of the snow.

Little blobs of snow and some twigs and we see ourselves. Do you think if the blobs and sticks were repositioned that birds would relate to them? or dogs? or cats? Regardless, the pictures in the full view and here in the close up are good. I wonder if the people who made the snowmen also took pictures.

Ianqui, Sometimes two blogs are better than one, but other times they are just twice the work. :) Today though, they gave me a nice option of showing two perspectives.
