Front StepsAugust 14, 2006

front_steps

Notes:     I really like this one, but I am not exactly sure why. I think it's something about the strong contrasts from the late afternoon sunlight, the dried leaves on the ground suggesting autumn, and the low perspective on what seem to be inviting steps rather than the closed doors above them. I don't know - do you like this as much as I do?

I like the symmetry of the shot very much and there is a lovely tonal ange to the shot. Phil

Me too. I also like how the symmetrically placed objects are mostly horizontals and verticals while the low light makes diagonals.
