I like how you've placed the vase and the flowers in the frame of this shot, perhaps even a tiny bit better than for the color photo you've posted today. But I don't feel like this photo works as well in black and white. Of course, I haven't seen the color version of this particular photo, so I could be wrong. But when you took away the color, I think you may have lost some of the drama. Maybe that loss wouldn't be missed if you could make up for it by some richess of tonality. I think it would be nice, for instance, if the wood table were darker than the flower petals, to give the image more depth and contrast.
