White Light photoblog (color)

Soy SauceJanuary 09, 2006

Location:     Baltimore, MD
Camera:     Canon PowerShot Pro1
EXIF:     1/6 sec, F/8.0, 14 mm (54 mm equivalent), Super Macro
Notes:     Looks so simple, doesn't it? It was actually a lot of work. It was taken inside under fairly low light, so I had to do a lot of Photoshopping to remove the background, brighten it, remove the noise, and fix the color (yeah, I know, and then it ended up in black and white anyway). I like how it turned out, but it probably would have been less work just to reshoot this with more light, and maybe a wider aperture. :)

I like this. It is simple yet has such strong clean lines.

I like the result, is well made. I find the orientation intriguing: my first instinct would have been to shoot it landscape, but now that I see the result I actually like your choice.

Almost has a storybook quality. It's nice to see lines that clean across several different textures.
