White Light photoblog (color)

All in a LineDecember 18, 2005

Location:     Baltimore, MD
Camera:     Canon PowerShot Pro1
EXIF:     1/6 sec, F/2.8, 11 mm, Super Macro feature
Notes:     I took this photo for the "book" practice image request at Requestock (currently access is members only). It's not exciting, but I was going for a background that conveyed books but would be useful as a stock photo background. The books are actually kind of an ugly teal color (it's a series of science journals) and the wood of the shelf is a cheap looking light wood, so I really prefer this in sepia. But if you must see it, here's the color version.

I don't know--I looked at the color version, and it looks more like books than the sepia version does. This isn't to say that I don't like the sepia version, it's just that I'm not sure it'll make the best stock photo.

Well, actually I submitted both. :)

Thanks so much for the feedback. I think that sometimes I think things look more obvious than they are, just because I was there taking the picture so I know the whole scene that this is just a part of!
