Notes:     This one wasn't a hand-held shot so much as it was a balanced-atop-a-water-glass shot. I suspect I'm not the only one to use such makeshift tripods...

Yea, with my D100 is more difficult to balance the camera on impromptu tripods, but I still do that sometimes. My favorite, when I am walling around, are textures rocks and concrete handrails because they offer solid support with a good grip.
