Shadows: Chiaroscuro's Triangle

Notes:		If you think this looks familiar, you're right. I never expected to stumble on Chiaroscuro's Diagonals, but when I did, I knew instantly that this was exactly where she'd taken her photo. What surprised me most about this is that a friend of ours lives on this street, and yet I had never noticed this fence and window before as being the scene that Chiaroscuro had framed so well. And standing there on the street, recognizing this scene, it seemed to be to be a pure stroke of genius that she even noticed the angles. Persoanlly, I find it difficult to imagine what the flat image will look like and often I don't even see the angles created by planes that are separated in space. I think that in my photo here, you can imagine that if you were standing on the street, that you would have noticed the angles. But I really think that if you were standing there in person on a bright sunny day, that you would not have noticed them. You might have noticed the interesting green of the painted brick contrasted with the red brick facade of the row house. Maybe you'd notice the bright white fence, obscuring your view. But to see the angles created by the lines of the fence and the building, that's all Chiaroscuro-vision. We should all be so lucky as to develop this world view!
