The VisitationMarch 30, 2005

Artist: Jacob Epstein, 1926, "The Visitation"

Location: The Baltimore Museum of Art, Baltimore, MD

Camera: Canon PowerShot S30

This sculpture garden is literally on my way as I walk home from school. The art museum is on the border of the Johns Hopkins campus, and there's a winding path that leads through the garden that I often take. The path is lined with a tall fence that is often locked, but today one of the entrances was open so I slipped in, camera in hand.

If you want to know more about this scultpure, read the Tate Museum's description of this sculpture and the story of the visitation.

Great perspective and good use of contrast.

I agree with Andreas... but this one also seems a little creepy for some reason... Could be the branches...

Nicely composed, very surreal looking.
