![]() This week's theme for our Baltimore photogroup is utensils. At first, I wasn't too excited about the idea... I just couldn't think of anything interesting that I could do with a fork or spoon! Then chiaroscuro posted this and ViSuaLLyMiNDeD posted this, and I really felt like I was just idea-less in comparison! But then tonight I started pulling other utensils out of my drawers, and some colored tissue paper as background color, and I think I like what I came up with... Camera: Fuji FinePix S602Z | |

Nice whisk! great shadows in this one. Did you use the same colour background here as you used in the corkscrew shot? Posted by: owen at February 5, 2005 04:26 PM
Actually, this one has a deeper red background. Posted by: luminouslens at February 5, 2005 04:33 PM
I figured you'd get into the spirit of utensils once you got going. :) This shot works really well. The texture serves as a pretty background, and I like how the spiral line is mirrored in the shadow. I prefer this one to your color post today, because I think the texture of the paper looks really good in black and white and is less distracting. Plus, I think the whisk has a more interesting shape than the corkscrew. Posted by: chiaroscuro at February 5, 2005 10:09 PM
nice work. love the b/w composition Posted by: Op at February 6, 2005 03:27 AM
Both this shot and the corkscrew one are great. The shadow of the b&w shot is better, though. Congrats! Posted by: Andreas at February 7, 2005 08:07 AM
nice one, I posted a couple of shots of the same utensil last month. It's got a great shape. Posted by: miles at February 14, 2005 01:30 PM
